Carpentersville Real Estate
The area of Carpentersville was settled in 1837 by Daniel & Charles Carpenter. The brothers were traveling back towards the Rock River, however they had to halt their trek when spring flooding made the trip impossible. Choosing to wait out the floods, the brothers found that the area they were in was quite attractive on many levels. In the end, the brothers Carpenter chose to stay in the area and develop it as a town. It was the son of Charles Carpenter, Angelo that was responsible for the major development of Carpentersville. Angelo brought both industry and the railroad to the new town, constructed bridges and churches and even continued to steer the business community after a move to Elgin in 1875.
In the 1950's another individual came along that would have a profound effect on the future of Carpentersville real estate. Leonard Besinger purchased large amounts of land and began the subdivision of Meadowdale, and area that was eventually annexed by Carpentersville. Today, the area has grown into a home for more than 30,000 residents and features homes in any number of styles and price ranges. Carpentersville real estate also showcases its beauty with an array of parks and green spaces that color and life to an already lively and thriving town.
