Just east of Utah Lake and about 40 miles south of salt Lake City, Pleasant Grove, Utah, a town of around 25,000 just off I-15, is part of the Provo-Orem Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was first settled in 1850, and has continued to grow every since. Construction, education and health care are the largest industries here, and those seeking a house for rent or an apartment for rent can be encouraged knowing that the town has a very low unemployment rate, hovering around less than 2% in 2007. Strawberry Days, which is the longest continuing community celebration in the state, is celebrated in Pleasant Grove annually, with a number of events and festivities marking the celebration.
